Newsweek Episode 20 - DONE!

Newsweek Episode 20 - The Final Episode.

Thats it. Done and dusted, Newsweek Episode 20 is online over at NZsnowboard.com. We filmed episode 20 at Snow Park NZ on the final day of the season, after a few beverages of course. Rather than following the same structure as the rest of the season, its a random montage of some of the days events. It was a rather splendid party and all in all a great day. Cheers Byrning Spears, Nick Hyne and Robett Hollis and anyone else who helped out throughout the season.

Hopefully Newsweek will be back next year, want to support newsweek? Talk to NZsnowboard.com Director Robett Hollis.

Making Room

Western Digital External Hard Drives.

I've only been shooting 1080 HD for a few months and already I've drilled through a couple of Western Digitals shooting MDTV & Newsweek, so I just got a couple more Terrabytes to get started for summer. They're getting cheaper by the day, and surprisingly I found the best deals on Ferrit.

Straight from the come up. This is legit.

Behind the Scenes Shoot

Last week we had a rather impromptu pipe shoot up Cardrona. Within 20 minutes of a phone call from Will Jackways we were on the road. Spencer Falls also came along for the trip and snapped a few photos on my still camera. John Melville from Development Snowparks is killing it! Heres some behind the scenes of me shooting video of Will J in the pipe.

John Melvilles creation. A 22 foot World Cup Standard Pipe, with a nice steep pitch. Me crouched at about 3 foot puts it in scale.

Me at the bottom of the pipe.

Melville bought out one of the sled necks sleds for slinging Will J. 800ccs of fun.

This was one of the dopest shots.. Big long back side alleoup landing about half a foot from the camera.

Seb Kemp - Dirt Magazine

The one and only Seb Kemp

I'll admit, I was rather surprised to be flicking through dirt mag, down at the local paper plus and come accross a full pager with Seb Kemp at the ass end of the mag. I didn't have time to read the article, but took a quick snap. Seb recently sent me a very long rambling email which questioned a whole lot of very interesting questions in mountainbiking. He's got a head on him and throws down on a bike too, hopefully I'll be able to document this interesting character this summer. Summer Press Release shortly.

A random Collaboration of isnaps over the last few days. Winter is done. Youweeeebeauty!

Junior Nationals Awards dinner. Note, we're all eating whilst the grommets line up. Check the next newsweek for footage with the winners, plus a tour of Oakridge in a golf cart.

Robett in preparation for the Moari Downhill, check the next newsweek for the footage.

Last day at SnowParkNZ, 9am. Liam Peter Ryan was there. Liams been killing it this year, check out MDTV episode 19 for the proof.

NZSBU Team posters. We ran off a few posters of the national team, named by the NSBU. The NZSBU is in full swing, and you can already see the prestiege in being involved. Shelly Gotlieb won female rider of the year, and Will Jackways took out Male rider of the year.

Rolling the backdrop for the awards, spirit fingers.

The winners bubbly, and trophys. My HVX is still wearing half a bottle. Tune in to newsweek to see what else the trophys can be used for.

Fairwell SnowPark, cheers for a good season. See you next year.

What to do whilst hung over? Climb the woolshed of course.

And you'd never guess whos back. Ben Finney, thread the needle.
