Mitch Brown.
First day back in Wanaka and I found myself out in the hills with Mitch Brown searching for a little something something. Mitch is back in New Zealand laxing out, hunting, chilling and gyming. Shortly he's off to the States to shred, then back again when the NZ winters in full swing. You should see a whole bunch of content from between us this season.
Stuff snowboarding, this is where it at.

Catch Up.
Its time for a little binary catch up. Its been a interesting time transitioning into the colder months, and I've just made the trip back to Wanaka where I'll be based for winter producing a variety of shows. You'll be hearing about these very shortly. For now is a whole range of random snap shots from my travels.
This Cavnas is an image I shot of Chris Blinkhorne on Donner Pass, USA, that is hanging in his family home.
Pablo Azocar demonstrates the amazing t-shirt folding technology of today.
I stopped in at Imagelab in Wellington, they printed my Exhibtion 'Perceptible'. We'll be dropping heat soon!

Anthill Films Demo Reel from Anthill Films on Vimeo.
Stolen straight from Spoke, The Collective is no more, but Anthill is born. Five of the best cinematographers in action sports in one company. Ridiculous. It will be interesting to see what these guys produce.

Wyn Masters
Wyn Masters is with out a doubt, one of the biggest characters in NZ mountain biking. We stayed in New Plymouth with Wyn and Eddie whilst producing 'How About It' and it was a time I'll never forget. Last time I saw Wyn, he was at Gorge Road shredding all the lines in his jandals. I just bumped into him on Spacebook and he flowed me his blog. Seems he's all Factory and somewhere foreign. Rad to see Wyn living the racing dream! Go see where in the world Wyn Masters is.

Mangere Bridge
Mangere Bridge. from Zeros&Ones on Vimeo.
After driving to the airport at least a dozen times in the last month, I have found myself passing the old Mangere bridge alot. I always wondered why so many people were fishing there, so on one journey I went and had a look. It seems the bridge provides alot for many families in the area. The bridge is where the people featured in this video get away, and relax. For some they spend there entire days there. This video documents one morning at the old Mangaere bridge - which appears to be somewhat of a haven.

Rob Tucker
Rob Tucker
I've lately been working on an artist profile video with Rob Tucker, which I will be releasing on the internet shortly. I somehow ended up living with Rob who is a professional artist, and its been very interesting getting to know this quirky character. We share many of the same traits. Robs exhibited in many large galleries around the country and his work is in high demand. Keep your eyes peeled on this blog for the video on and hopefully we'll also have something in the near future pop up in Manual Magazine.
I photographed Rob in his studio last month, he used one of the images in his lookbook.

For.You
A few weeks back Ben Simmen announced that he had launched a clothing company titled 'foryou'. Ben is a male model/snowboarder who I believe is studying design. He's teamed up with a buddy and the products they're starting to produce look good, it'll be interesting to see where they go with it, and how they expand. Go check it out.

Rotorua
Yesterday I decided it was time for a break from the big smoke and tripped down to Rotorua to catch up with Matt Whitaker from Wide Open, and Graeme Murray. It was pouring with rain for the entire drive, but was good to see a part of the country I had never been to. Decided to take some back roads to make it all the more interesting.
I went out to Wide Opens HQ, and saw where everything went down. Johno Church has just moved up from Christchurch and is the newest employee. I also delievered one of the images from my exhibition Perceptible, that Matt has bought for his family home. Its an image of Wide Open team rider Matt Scoles in Alexandra. ( check out the next Spoke to see a little article I did on Matt/Alex ) I can also announce that we will be dropping some Wide Open rider team profile vids very shortly. These will be featuring footage I shot last year.
I also went to Graeme Murrays office, looted a tray of Redbull and talked smack over a savoury muffin. ( Next step from a sconne )

RebelYell
The latest issue of Rebelyell is hitting select stores around New Zealand and Australia. Rebelyell is a magazine of extremely high production standards, comparable to First Floor. Its an incredible magazine to read. Chris Polack is the heart and sole behind the mag, its rad to see one person driving such a tight product. Theres an article on the Tim Hales Jam held last year in Wanaka in the latest issue. I took a few photos, and Mikey Lefebvre wrote some incredible broken english! Below is a sneak peak of the article. GO BUY AN ISSUE!

George Bolter with a lazy Sunday tuck at Stanmore park.
So I've been a bit quiet on the bike front lately. In January I acquired a wethepeople from revolutionz in Christchurch and have been having a blast ever since. I've been clocking a bit of footage with a few different riders and snapping a few stills too, this post has some of the throw aways. I'll be working with the Bolter twins George and Louis until I leave Auckland and should hopefully release some footy in the near future. Ontop of this, you'll be seeing a bit of mountainbike footage that I shot last year popping up soon too.
