The New Zealand Mountain Film Festival opened last night in Wanaka. We entered 'How About It' in the Festival, and won a Special Jury award to recognise a new standard of film making in New Zealand. We got a little in brief in the ODT too.
The night kicked off with a bit of schmoozing, awards, then a whole bunch of films. Definitely some inspirational film making. How About It closed off the screening, and I'm stoked that a large audience that wasn't mountain bike orientated watched the whole thing.
In other news, its my 21st Celebrations tonight, so this weekend is a right off. And I woke up this morning to a coating of snow in Wanaka.. Below is the view from my bedroom window. Apparntly theres a little more in Qtown/Arrowtown.
