Shipping out

Sooo, I thought it'd be best to do a bit of an overview of the summer so far. Its been a pretty crazy few months and I've found myself in some very interesting parts of New Zealand. It is amazing that I can still feel like a tourist in my own country!

There was a huge blow at the start of summer when I couldn't obtain funding for 'TakeOne', after many months of planning. I had to pull the pin on this project to prevent going under which shook me up a bit. Lets say its postponed until the economy is in a more stable shape - I'm not done with filming bikes! I got a bunch of footy in the bag with a few riders, which I'll be releasing at some time.

I managed to pick up a gig filming a TV doco of the Hyundai Longboard Tour which I've been posting photos of on this blog. This has been incredible. We have two more rounds left during March - Whangamata and Port Waikato. I've also shot some 'Thrill Seekers Guides' for UK production company Friday, and am currently working on a Promotional video for ReleaseNZ & Educating Adventures. I'm also setting up a stock photo library with Photo New Zealand which will be online shortly.

Zeros&Ones is currently being rebranded for an exciting 2009 by the one and only Laura Shallcrass at Chomp Design. We've got some exciting projects on the cards for winter which you'll hear about very shortly.

I'm packing my bags on March10th and am moving to be based in Auckland for March/April/May and then heading back down to Wanaka/Queenstown for a busy winter. I'm currently looking for a new vehicle and place to live in Auckland so if you have any leads GET AT ME.

Heres some happy snaps from here and there.

I took a trip to Dunedin during O-week. Got to chill out on this balcony which was rad.

One of summers finest sports. Sevvy demonstrates a fine serve.

Mish Oneil is a seasoned professional.

Robett Hollis - We're set for another exciting winter partnered with NZsnowboard.com

Mitch Brown has been doing work son. Got to hang with Mitch in Wanaka during summer, hes now somewhere in the USA shredding.

Jazzy and the summer of the tie die.

I've aqquired a Wethepeople 4seasons from Revolutionz in CHCH. Pretty addicted - go get one.

These photos are shot on a Lensbaby, these were my first shots on it, gonna see some artsy stuff for sure.

This summer has also seen me move to Mac. Pretty scary when feeling completely computer illiterate for a couple days. I'm pretty stoked on the decision. I'm going to be flicking my old PC desktop and laptop soon. Get at me if your interested.

And a sneak peak of the Dolly we're using in the Summer of Surfing Doccumentary. Designed by the one and only Regan Low - is pretty flawless.
